Concrete & Asphalt Inspection

As a result of new technologies, increased construction commitment, and revised building standards, quality asphalt testing, and inspection are essential for the successful completion of construction projects. MBT inspection provides full-service asphalt design and testing services performed by highly qualified asphalt testing engineers. Our services are supported by the documents required for the production and installation of quality asphalt.

High-quality asphalt testing starts with collecting precise and reliable data. Our engineer's control, evaluate, and approve every step of a test project to ensure accurate, reliable results. The asphalt testing services group evaluates asphalt binders, asphalt mixes, and other asphalt derivatives for use in the construction industry. We maintain our high level of expertise with technician experience, certificates, and laboratory accreditations; these are A2LA and AASHTO.

  • Aggregate Testing: Since most pavements contain 95% aggregate, Stork participates in the testing of these materials. In addition to routine testing, we specialize in finding procedures such as Polish values, Robustness, and Los Angeles Abrasion Testing.

  • Asphalt Binders (Oils): We perform a wide range of physical testing as part of the third-party evaluation, QC/QA testing, or material specification. These tests include things like softening points, viscosity tests, and other physical tests.

  • Testing Asphalt Emulsions and Interrupts: We routinely test asphalt emulsions and interruptions to verify compliance with specifications.

  • Asphalt Field Services testing: We provide personnel and equipment to evaluate asphalt pavement production and placement. This may include a mobile lab, or we may simply provide staff to supervise and assist with placement activities. This service plays a valuable role in the quality control process.

  • Hot Mix Asphalt: MBT inspection designs and evaluates hot mix asphalt using the Superpave, Marshall (P-401), and Texas Gyratory (TxDOT) procedures.

  • Performance Grade Rating: fully AASHTO approved to verify and determine asphalt binder performance grades.

Bitumen

There are many national and international specifications and tests determined by various authorities, contracts, and building regulations all over the world. As for MBT inspection, we try to offer the best we can, taking into account the volume limitations for each location and accepting that we cannot offer everything to all of our stakeholders in all locations. Services we offer:
